Savory Institute

Daniela is the co-founder and CEO of the Savory Institute, a global nonprofit equipping farmers, ranchers, and pastoralist communities to regenerate grasslands within cultural and ecological contexts. Since 2009, she has led the design and implementation of Savory’s global impact strategy to tackle climate change and global food and water security, influencing more than 21 million hectares around the world and training 15,000+ farmers and ranchers. She is also the Chair of the newly formed Savory Foundation in Denmark, dedicated to raising and deploying capital in service of large-scale regenerative agriculture projects globally.

With degrees in Agronomy, Natural Resources Economics, and 20+ years of hands-on experience in regenerative land management, Daniela is a recognized global leader for designing and deploying systems solutions at the intersection of agriculture and climate change. In 2018, she received the “Top Conscious Business Leaders Award” from Conscious Company in the Global Impact Thinker category.

She serves as an advisor to the 4 per 1000 Initiative, Ashoka Bioregional Weaving Labs, Global Evergreening Alliance, the UN Global Sustainable Livestock Coalition, Common Earth Initiative, Slow Money, Regenerate Costa Rica, Business of Fashion, and LVMH.
