Marieke Meeusen MSc (female) is working since 1987 at Wageningen Research. She is active as project leader and business developer at Wageningen Research in the field of consumer behaviour of food and bio-based, circular products. She coordinates research in (public-private) projects for the EU, Dutch government and Dutch companies. Her focus is on consumer research to stimulate the consumption of healthy and sustainable food. She coordinates projects in which interventions (by increasing the availability during the several consumption moments, by offering more information, by making sustainable food more attractive) have been developed in different settings (retail, Out of Home), for different target groups that have been evaluated and have been implemented in real life. Furthermore she leads projects in the field of circular economy focused on behaviour of actors that play a role in the transition towards a circular economy. Finally, she is co-coordinator of projects in The Netherlands and in EU related to true cost accounting.
