Alissa White-Gluz

Alissa White-Gluz is an internationally renowned singer best known as the front-figure of Swedish metal band, Arch Enemy. These extreme metal titans perform upwards of 200 shows per year, all around the globe to crowds of hundreds of thousands of fans - sometimes millions. Alissa’s widely diverse vocal style and stage presence have earned her many esteemed awards, collaborations with legendary artists and a well-deserved ranking among the metal elite. She even has two newly discovered, extinct animal species named after her.

In addition to her music, Alissa is also creative in the visual arts and is an avid painter, nature photographer and is also well known for her activism, particularly in animal rights. Having been raised in a vegetarian household, she has now been an outspoken vegan for over 20 years and uses her platform to encourage compassion and responsibility in her fans. Alissa has won awards from PETA, spoken at rallies and marches in multiple countries and she hopes to bring veganism to a broader audience.Alissa is considered a pioneer and role model for women in metal.
