Miyoko Schinner is the daring founder and CEO of Miyoko's, a food brand that is revolutionizing the dairy-free cheese market by combining culinary traditions with innovative food technology. As a passionate culinarian, food has always been at the heart of Miyoko's life. She is a former restauranteur and published author with five books to her name, including the bestselling The Homemade Vegan Pantry (Ten Speed Press, 2015), and host of the PBS cooking show Vegan Mashup. Schinner is also the co-founder of Rancho Compasión, an animal sanctuary located in Northern California that provides a home to over 70 farm animals. Her daily meditation is feeding her cows, goats, pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and ducks at her sanctuary, where she lives with her husband and children, along with their two dogs and two cats.
