The ISH Company Launches A New Plant-Based Seafood Alternative

The ISH Company, a startup revolutionizing the food industry with its healthy and sustainable plant-based seafood alternatives, has now revealed the launch of its Salmonish™ Burgers. Following up on their existing products Shrimpish® and Shrimpish® Crumbles, these burgers make up the third addition to their product portfolio, which are available through their collaborative deal with operational partner Dot Foods. Additionally, the ISH Company announced its alliance with North America's largest food industry redistributor earlier this month.

The ISH Company combines salmon's flavor and texture with plant-based vegan ingredients to create Salmonish Burgers. Each serving provides 14 grams of protein and 300 milligrams of omega-3 fatty acids. Further, kelp, a mineral-rich ocean-regenerating ingredient, is included in the recipe. This combination offers consumers an easy-to-prepare product that surpasses expectations of seafood proteins in terms of taste, feel and look.

"After the successful debut of Shrimpish early last year, The ISH Company is thrilled to continue creating innovative, climate-conscious products during the rise of plant-based meat substitutes," said Christie Fleming, President and Chief Operating Officer at The ISH Company." The plant-based seafood market is primed for exponential growth and given the popularity of salmon, we have a great opportunity to help consumers make both delicious and more mindful food choices, further amplified with our ability to distribute through Dot Foods now as well."

Salmon is the second-most popular seafood consumed in the United States. Global demand has strained supply chains, depleted wild fish stocks, and contributed to climate change. The ISH Company's Salmonish presents an uncontaminated choice that won't damage our marine environment. Its carbon footprint is five times smaller than traditional salmon and forty-five times smaller than beef.

In January, The ISH Company raised $5 million in seed funding led by ACCELR8 and Stray Dog Capital and multiple angel investors. In addition to raising nearly $10 million, ISH has also been able to launch Salmonish Burgers swiftly due to the funds raised.

ISH Company's Whole System Approach provides much-needed options in the plant-based market, boasting healthy and sustainable ingredients to deliver products that imitate seafood texture and flavor. With more than 25 products in the works, including vegan versions of crab, lobster, and cod, consumers can easily find these dishes at Dot Foods and many restaurants, universities, and colleges.
